The Skullcandy App does not track your location or store your data. If you don’t give the Skullcandy App location access, it won’t be able to find and connect to your product. The Skullcandy App uses it to discover your Skullcandy product and connect to it.

Why do I need to provide location services on my android device to connect my headphones to the Skullcandy App?Īndroid requires that any app that uses Bluetooth also be granted location access.
With location permissions enabled, Bluetooth turned on, and your product connected to your phone, you should be able to link to the Skullcandy App. If you have declined Location permissions, for example, you may have to go into the app settings and re-enable. Please make sure you have enabled Bluetooth and Location permissions for the app. Check your product user guide for pairing instructions, available for all Skullcandy audio products here ( ) Make sure the product is on and paired with your phone. For most Skullcandy audio products, powering your earbuds or headphones off then back on will get you back into pairing mode. If you do not see your product’s name without “-LE” in your Bluetooth devices pairing list, please complete a clear paired device reset. It will not allow for audio and calls over this connection it is not the correct Bluetooth connection to support the use of the Skullcandy App. If you see your product’s name followed by “-LE” this is a secondary connection for Tile ™ services. Go to your mobile Bluetooth device list and select the Skullcandy product name that you want to pair. To use the Skullcandy App, make sure you first successfully pair your app-compatible Skullcandy product to your phone. This is usually achieved across products with a cycle off and back on. When connecting your product to your mobile device, make sure your product is in pairing mode.
